SIGNIFICANT TIPS TO IMPROVE WRITING SKILLS FOR IELTS EXAM


In IELTS exam, a candidate writing abilities are analyzed through writing tasks. These tasks are scrutinized as per the norms and regulations of IELTS. Thereafter, the successful candidates become eligible to study or work abroad. Writing section comprises of two types of questions, one is info-graphic questions and the other one is an essay. Info-graphic tasks need strong vocabulary and knowledge of technical words especially as the questions are based on graphs, maps etc., where we need to express our observations using some technical terms. Second task is an essay which needs a thorough knowledge of the burning topics and themes so that you can write the adequate and related facts while writing the body of the essay.
There are some significant tips to follow while preparing for writing section of IELTS EXAM and these tips are:
1. Understand the speaker or the topic or theme you are going to write. It is the key factor to write effectively and worth getting high score.
2. Do the research of the topic you choose to write while practicing. You have to write the facts with authentic figures and information. Never start the writing with a vague sentence. Choose the burning topics and make a thorough research of it using online or offline media such as articles, blogs, debates, etc. It will enhance your insight and you will be able to express the ideas relatively.
3. Practice writing blogs to know your abilities. The comments will definitely help you know the quality of writing and the ideas you have crafted in it. It is the best platform because you are writing to show your linguistic abilities as well as your awareness about the topic.
4. Learn grammar rules properly because it decides the quality of post. If you are making lot of grammar mistakes then reader looses the interest in reading it further. Revise grammar rules learned in high school to improve your writings.
5. Proofreading is the best tool to improve your write-up. Develop the habit of reading your article or essay before submitting. Sometimes we do some errors because our focus is on the ideas and not on the grammar.
